4mm and 10mm corrugated signs, made from Coroplast, differ in thickness and durability: 4mm (approx. 1/4″) is lighter, more flexible, great for short-term use like basic yard signs, while 10mm (approx. 1/2″) is much more rigid, durable, opaque, and ideal for large, long-term outdoor signs or commercial applications needing heavy-duty performance against harsh weather. Both are waterproof, lightweight, and can be printed full-color, but 10mm offers superior sturdiness and longevity. 

4mm Corrugated Signs (Standard/Lightweight) 

• Thickness: About 1/4 inch (4mm).
• Feel: Lighter, more flexible, can appear slightly translucent in bright sun.
• Best For: General yard signs, political signs, event announcements, cheer signs, temporary needs, and smaller sizes.
• Durability: Good for standard outdoor conditions, but less robust than 10mm. 

10mm Corrugated Signs (Heavy-Duty)

• Thickness: About 1/2 inch (10mm), significantly thicker than 4mm.
• Feel: Very rigid, sturdy, and opaque.
• Best For: Commercial real estate, auction signs, construction, long-term advertising, larger signs (e.g., over 2ft x 3ft), and areas with harsh weather.
• Durability: Heavy-gauge, engineered for longer outdoor life (around 2 years), and a good replacement for plywood. 

Key Similarities

Both use flutes for stake insertion or hanging. 

Both are made from corrugated plastic (Coroplast).

Both are lightweight, waterproof, and resistant to chemicals/stains.

Both can be printed single or double-sided.
